Richardson and McFarland Testify at Legislature
Topeka, KS (February 25, 2014) - Wallace Saunders attorney, Mark McFarland, provided live testimony on February 20, 2014 before the Kansas House Committee on Judiciary in support of Kansas HB 2652 (PDF) relating to zoning of county airports. Rod Richardson had previously submitted written testimony in support of the bill. Working in conjunction with the Committee on Judiciary, Rod, Mark, and Daniel Press have drafted proposed amendments to K.S.A. 3-307e and 3-701 to alleviate the current pitfalls that can permanently and unfairly restrict the use of property rights of Kansas property holders.
The bill has been referred to the Committee on Taxation for additional hearings.
