Ryan L. Carpenter

Of Counsel

Ryan has 23 years of municipal and the litigation practice, primarily in the area of local government.  He has handled matters in the state court of Kansas from administrative law level to the Kansas Supreme Court.  His practice focuses on the defense of personal injury claims, property valuation matters, and municipal law.

Ryan works with individuals, corporations, and insurers, and municipalities through all phases of the legal process, from pre suit investigation through completion of the process.  Given his background, he also works with municipalities on tax and public finance matters. His practice covers  both Kansas and Missouri  state, appellate, and federal courts.

  • Defending clients in matters as diverse as injury claims arising under the Kansas Tort Claims Act to Quiet Title Actions.
  • Litigated property valuation cases from the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals to the Kansas Supreme Court.
  • Advised client on tax issues associated with development, public finance, and property valuation.  Tried  numerous bench trials.  Represented clients at all appellate levels in Kansas.
